Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms govern your use of the web-based convenience tool service provided by "Coti Lab" (the "Site"). Accessing the Site or using its content constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

These Terms apply together with the Privacy Policy; if the two conflict, these Terms take precedence.

2. Service overview

The Site provides free web-based convenience tools, such as a character counter, that anyone can use without signing up. The operator may add, change, or remove tools and content at any time.

Every tool on the Site is a simple convenience feature and does not substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or technical advice.

Comments and likes are handled separately via Google account sign-in. See the Privacy Policy for details.

3. Conditions of use

a. All content on the Site can be freely accessed without registration. Only some supplementary features, like posting comments or likes, require signing in with a Google account.

b. The operator strives to keep the Site available at all times, but it may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, system updates, or external network issues. The operator bears no compensation or legal liability for such interruptions.

4. User responsibilities and prohibited conduct

Users must comply with applicable laws and these Terms, and must not:

  • Disrupt the Site's operation through automated scripts, bots, or bulk requests
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Site's source code, design, content, or UI elements without the operator's explicit permission
  • Exploit security vulnerabilities or otherwise interfere with normal operation
  • Infringe others' copyright, likeness rights, or personal information
  • Post illegal, harmful, obscene, or violent content in comments or elsewhere
  • Violate applicable law (copyright law, network laws, etc.)

If prohibited conduct is confirmed, the operator may restrict access from the relevant IP or account without prior notice.

5. Disclaimer (liability for tools and content)

a. The Site is provided free of charge, and the operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any tool's calculation/conversion/generation results or of published content.

b. Every tool on the Site is a simple convenience feature and cannot substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, tax, or technical advice. Use tool results for reference only, and verify important decisions against official sources or a relevant professional.

c. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the operator bears no legal liability for direct or indirect damages (including but not limited to data loss, financial loss, or decision-making errors) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site's tools and content.

d. Do not rely on tool results or content provided for reference purposes as the sole basis for an important decision.

6. Operator's authority

To maintain service quality and reasonable operation, the operator retains the right to:

  • Add, change, or remove content
  • Change ad placements or ad networks
  • Revise these Terms and the Privacy Policy
  • Restrict access for violations of these Terms
  • Modify or remove content in response to legal or rights-infringement reports

7. Service changes and discontinuation

The operator may change or discontinue part or all of the service for reasonable cause. We try to announce major changes in advance, but in unavoidable situations — urgent security issues, external service outages, legal changes — changes may occur without prior notice.

The operator bears no compensation or legal liability for damages arising from service changes, suspension, or closure. If the Site's operation ends, we will provide reasonable advance notice.

8. Advertising and affiliate marketing

The Site may display ads through networks such as Google AdSense to cover operating costs. Any transaction involving products or services shown in ads occurs directly between the advertiser and the user; the operator bears no responsibility for such transactions.

The Site may earn a commission through the Coupang Partners program, and this is disclosed separately on the relevant pages.

9. Copyright

Rights to the Site's UI design, icons, text content, logo, and similar elements belong to the Site operator. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

10. Changes to these Terms

The operator may revise these Terms as needed; revisions take effect upon posting to this page. Material changes unfavorable to users will be announced a reasonable period before the effective date.

11. Dispute resolution and governing law

Disputes related to these Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea. In case of a dispute, the operator and user will first seek an amicable resolution through mutual discussion.
