자주 묻는 질문
Q1. How does this tool come up with the English address?
It calls the official English address search API from Korea's Road Name Address Guide System (juso.go.kr), run by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety — so it returns the actual registered official English form, not a made-up phonetic conversion.
Q2. I searched but got no results.
Try including the road name (e.g. Teheran-ro, Gangnam-daero) and building number rather than an old lot-number address. Searching by just the road name, without the city/province, often works too.
Q3. Is my search term stored on a server?
No. Your search term is only passed to the official API for lookup and isn't stored anywhere on this site.
Q4. Can I use this format directly for international mail?
Yes — the English road-name address in the results follows the international mail format (smallest to largest unit, with REPUBLIC OF KOREA at the end), so you can use it as-is together with the postal code.
Q5. Does it cover newly built or recently changed addresses?
Results are based on what's currently registered in the Ministry's database, so very recently assigned or changed addresses may take some time to appear.
