It splits your input into individual characters, calculates each character's ASCII (Unicode) code value, converts it to the base you selected, and joins them into a space-separated code string.
Q2. When should I use decimal, hex, octal, or binary?
Decimal is the most intuitive default. Hex is common in programming and color codes, octal shows up in Unix file permissions, and binary is useful when you want to see the actual bits a computer processes.
Q3. Can I enter non-English characters or emoji?
Yes. Characters outside the ASCII range (0–127) are converted to their Unicode code point instead. You can look up codes within the standard ASCII range directly in the table below.
Q4. Is there a limit on how much text I can convert?
There's no hard character limit, but very long text produces a correspondingly long code string that can be unwieldy to copy and use.
Q5. Is my input text saved anywhere?
No. All conversion happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to or stored on a server.
