자주 묻는 질문
Q1. How is BMI calculated?
BMI is your weight (kg) divided by the square of your height (m). For example, at 170cm and 65kg, it's 65 ÷ (1.7 × 1.7) ≈ 22.5.
Q2. What are the BMI category cutoffs?
Below 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–23 is normal, 23–25 is overweight, 25–30 is Obese I, 30–35 is Obese II, and 35 and above is severely obese.
Q3. Does a high BMI always mean poor health?
BMI is a simple reference metric based only on height and weight, so it doesn't account for muscle mass or body fat percentage. Someone with high muscle mass can have a high BMI but low body fat, so use it only as a general guide.
Q4. Is my height and weight saved anywhere?
No. All calculations happen entirely in your browser and are never sent to or stored on a server.
Q5. How is the normal weight range calculated?
It's your height (m) squared, multiplied by BMI values 18.5 and 22.9. Falling within that range means a normal BMI.
