Q1. Is my uploaded image sent to a server?
No. The image is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to or stored on a server.
Q2. How much quality do I lose?
At higher quality settings (90%+) the loss is barely visible while file size still drops significantly. For true lossless output, set the slider to maximum and use the PNG format.
Q3. What format is the output saved as?
"Keep original" saves PNGs as PNG and everything else as JPEG. Choosing JPEG or WebP directly forces conversion to that format.
Q4. Can I compress multiple images at once?
Right now only one image can be processed at a time. Use "Choose another image" to compress the next one.
Q5. Does compression also change the image dimensions?
No. Compression only reduces file size and keeps the pixel dimensions unchanged. Use the Image Resize tool if you want to change the dimensions themselves.
