Q1. How accurate is this postal code information?
It's looked up directly from the official database of Korea's Road Name Address Guide System (juso.go.kr), run by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Q2. I searched but got no results.
Try searching by road name (e.g. Teheran-ro) or building name rather than an old lot-number address. Searching by just the road name, without the city/province, often works too.
Q3. What shows up when I click "More"?
The English road-name address, lot-number address, region breakdown (province/city/neighborhood), building and lot numbers, and flags like apartment/underground/mountain.
Q4. Is my search term stored on a server?
No. Your search term is only passed to the official API for lookup and isn't stored anywhere on this site.
Q5. Does it cover newly built addresses?
Results are based on what's currently registered in the Ministry's database, so very recently assigned addresses may take some time to appear.
